Asif Khan

Asif Khan was born in 1979 in London. He studied Architecture at the Bartlett School and the Architectural Association School. His eponymous London-based practice works across the fields of architecture, industrial design and furniture with a particular eye for projects that combine these fields in new and unexpected ways. He is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most exciting designers and has won countless awards and recognition for his work. His work includes the Coca-Cola ‘Beatbox’ pavilion for the 2012 Olympic Games and the MegaFaces project for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. For this latter, he was awarded the prestigious Cannes Lion Grand Prix for Innovation – the first time this has been awarded to an architectural studio. He was one of six finalists from 1715 entries in an international competition to design the new Guggenheim Art Museum in Helsinki. He is a board member of the Design Museum in London.
